I attended the 9 a.m. full-group class for six mornings, and some of the workshops. I walked the deck. I explored the ship. Otherwise, yes, I sat and read. One of the bests.
Welcome home. Printer shouldn't be a huge power draw compared to the computer and monitor(s). An APC battery backup is, though. From the house of many gamers :)
Wendy, try to do it when the weather is better, and you can get outside, and use the five swimming pools. I think the clouds, and the dampness, day after day, spoiled the trip for me. Also—I checked with a friend who recently went on another, smaller cruise—it seems like getting onto, and then getting off of, a ship is always a hellish experence. There are just so many people to move at the same time. Be prepared.
We writers were 30 people out of about 2,000. Even with spouses and friends, our group total was less than 45. I didn't feel like the cruise gave out conference much support.
A belated welcome back! How did you manage to get the tortoise on the plane home?
Heh-heh . . .
But what and how did you write?
I found that I write at home, and that's enough.
Oh dear, I don't know what you mean . . .
Question: did you do anything other than sit and read and talk one night to the one group and another day to another group? Regardless, Welcome Back!

What was the full-group class? And what were the workshops? Were they all about writing?
Yes, they were all about writing, and the business of writing. You know Jane Friedman was on the teaching team, right!

Welcome back!
Thank you!
Debby, I agree with you: Ann Patchett is always a pleasure and frequently a whole writing workshop.
So I shouldn’t book a transatlantic round trip with Cunard?

Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind. 🦕
Wasn't this cruise designed as a writing seminar? Do I have that wrong? Maybe I do.
